I can hardly believe it, but I’m moving out of my Brooklyn apartment this weekend.
I’ll be back soon, but wanderlust got the best of me. I’ll be in sunny Vietnam all summer!
A railroad track converted into a public park? I love walking along the High Line.
Idle Saturday in Williamsburg, by the water.
The happiest heart attack: lobster roll smothered in melted butter.
German beers on draft, siting on the sidewalk.
Live sound processing by Dafna Naphtali and Robert Dick at Harvestworks
Fresh oysters and good local beer at Upstate Oyster Bar. I love this place!
Beer cooked mussels followed by complimentary whisky cake.
Taurin and I got a bottle of wine at Otto and snacked on cheese + bread dipped in truffle honey.
And finished it off with some olive oil coppetta – olive oil gelato, pineapple rosemary confettura, lime curd, passion fruit granita, pignoli brittle.
Chris and I went to the Parson’s Fine Art MFA show. I’ve been going to a lot of these spring shows this month.
Taurin’s brother and his girlfriend came to visit us.
And last but not least, matcha tiramisu!
As you can see, my weekends have been very indulgent, in direct contrast to my busy weekday work schedule. Not that I can ever defend my gluttony or workaholic tendencies, but it feels just right. Days are long and sunny, and I want to eat everything in this city. I knew New York was (un)healthy for me! But can you believe I’m going to be in Vietnam so soon?
