Just a few weeks ago, I was in Virginia visiting family and celebrating the reunion of my good friends, Diana and Barry. Their wedding ceremony was held at a historic colonial house in Richmond on a perfectly sunny day. It was a beautiful wedding and I was honored (and nervous) to be their official photographer. Although I had two huge DSLRs strapped to my body at all times, it was wonderful to see so many of my friends from college. Southern Virginia definitely has a special place in my heart.
The gorgeous newlywed couple, Diana and Barry!
Home-brewed beer with custom labels for wedding favor!
Who would’ve thought? I really loved taking the wedding dance party photos!
The day after the wedding, some close friends of the newlywed couple gathered at their family country home in Appomattox for an extended weekend celebration. To say the least, the cooler was never empty and good company never too few. I wanted to stay there forever!
The country home bathroom has the best (and very much expired) medicine cabinet!
Barry made all these delicious burgers for everyone and Taurin made sure we all had enough pickles.
The view of Appomattox on my drive home. Oh, Virginia!

July 2, 2012 at 3:11 pmI’ve been to Virginia, but I don’t really remember much about it :/ Looking at these photos however, I desperately want to go explore some now! What a gorgeous place venue for the wedding as well.

July 2, 2012 at 3:57 pmi really love the energy in the photos. There’s something very genuine about them, like moments from a special time in their life, not “these-are-wedding-pictures!!!”
this another lovely photo entry 🙂

July 4, 2012 at 5:01 pmOh wow, these photos are so beautiful. I think my favourite is that first image of the lovely couple holding hands (so simple but so beautiful!) and also the one with all the hay bales and rolling countryside. I’m glad you had a wonderful time at your friend’s wedding, it looks like it was one to remember!

July 10, 2012 at 5:10 pmLovely pics as always! You did a really great job on your friend’s wedding I’m sure they are happy with their pictures. I shot my friend’s wedding too in June. Its so nerve racking because you don’t want to fail your friends, but it’s fun too.
