Hello from a beautiful mountain village in South Korea! Until I can tell you more about where I am, I wanted to take time to remember the time in between. So here are some photos of New York, in its ever-transient yet beautiful spring time.
Two of my colleagues and I organized a pop-up exhibit at the Ran Tea House in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
An interactive exhibit by day.
Live audiovisual + music performance after sunset.
Wearing my favorite yellow dress at the Yoshitomo Nara exhibit opening in Chelsea.
Emily and her then-new blue/gray hair.
My family on my graduation day!
Flower crowns and picnic at Mccarren Park.
Coney Island for Bobby’s birthday.
Chicken and waffles in Harlem.
Dimsum with Jannese in Chinatown
I never quite learned how to properly say my goodbyes, but know that some friendships simply withstand time and distance. It’s another reason to write letters and take trips. I am sure our paths will cross again–here, there, or somewhere unexpected!

June 17, 2013 at 2:24 ami’ve never really felt like New York is a place i should visit, but you make it seem like a little paradise and actually make my wish to walk around there one day a little bigger π it looks so .. normal. and that might sound a bit weird, but i’m glad that even in (what in my head is) the city of everything exaggerated and filmset-ish etc there’s so much normal live to find. i love the flower thingies in the girls’ hair, in the park!
and i think your graduation family picture is really cute.
as for saying goodbye… i hardly say goodbye too, simply because it’s a sad thing to do and indeed – if it’s a real friendship it’ll survive the distance. for me it’s always been inside of Europe, which really makes it easy to visit π (okay, except for my American/South African/Asian friends), but i can imagine it’s much harder for you. but still, letters and trips are good things. π
i hope you’re enjoying Korea! and i’m obviously curious about what you’re doing.
have a good week!

I can’t wait to read more about your new project.
Why say goodbye? You can always say “See you soon”!

June 18, 2013 at 11:09 pmI think I regret a bit not having had the time to meet you while you were in New York, but I’m sure one day we’ll get to see each other! Your South Korea pics from twitter seem truly lovely and /summer/ and please send some of that sunshine this way. I’m looking forward to reading more about what you’ve been up to and, again, congratulations on graduating. Yay!! xx
