Surprise! Taurin and I hopped on a bus for a spontaneous weekend trip to Dali. All of Friday was spent at an idyllic lakeside villaged named Shuanglang. We walked around winding alleyways lined with Bai-style ancient houses and small shops.
I’m wearing a handmade linen dress from Lijiang and a natural dye scarf made by my good friend P Wan.
The local women bringing freshly caught fish home.
In this part of the world, flowers still bloom in December.
A face? (Taurin took this one)
A decent glass of iced coffee at Flying Turtle Coffee. That’s about all…
Remember Cafe 88 from my last trip? Still fantastic, as ever.

December 6, 2011 at 9:38 amLike you told me, you went one more time. And for the second time my eyes are shining looking at those photographs, I truly hope to visit Dali one day.
The fourth picture, I love it! The fishes are making an incredible pattern. I would almost like to draw that pattern, blue/metal fishes on a yellow/golden background.
Thank you so much for your last mail, I feel much better and focus on work again. I will write you back soon, as soon as I can clearly align words about what happened.
Also, I’m totally looking forward to your package dear Sewon!
