Now and then, I walk by the gingko trees in my neighborhood. I hear the leaves will suddenly turn bright yellow, and in just a few days, fall. I hope I don’t miss it this season.
小心, literally “small heart,” means “be careful”
Xinjiang yogurt with fresh blueberries. I love breakfast!
I’m collecting pretty leaves for my pen pals.
Thank you for all your kind well wishes! I’m feeling much better. I have to say though, I’ve fallen in love with homemade soup and hot ginger honey tea.
Outfit: A Muji tote bag, my boyfriend’s cardigan from Uniqlo, polka-dot mini dress from Beijing, cashmere scarf (I recently repurposed it out of an old sweater), and a Korean novel all about kittens
Remember my bicycle trip around Shanghai’s Chongming Island? My photography series from the island is published in my friend Hunter’s new art magazine, There Is No There. This island is perhaps where my mini photo zine was born. You can read about it here.
P.S. We cooked Julia Child’s beef bourguinon for dinner!

I love your outfit; you look so classy and chic. 🙂 I miss wearing scarves but what’s the point? I live in South Florida.
How did you do that to your hair? I wish I knew how. :O

November 3, 2011 at 2:33 pmThank you. Ah, you’re lucky it doesn’t get cold! The weather got just a bit chilly and I got sick right away. Hm, the hairdo is super easy! You just twist it up into a knot. :]

November 3, 2011 at 2:01 pmaww, i like ‘small heart.’ is that like ‘your heart is small so be careful with it’? or ‘keep your heart small so it doesn’t make you feel too brave and make you do crazy things’?

November 6, 2011 at 12:39 pmIt’s strange, Koreans also use the word “small heart” (so-shim) but I think it just means timid. Maybe you can ask your mom about it!

November 3, 2011 at 2:13 pmI really like that cardigan! It seems like the men’s section of stores have the best ones lol. Ginger honey tea sounds really good right now, I need to drink more tea (the only kind I drink is green), lately it’s been all about the coffee though lol!

November 4, 2011 at 2:12 amA Korean novel about kittens! What’s the name of it? Is it only in Korean or has it been translated? I’m all about the possibility of reading a novel about kittens.
