Vegan Apple Pie

I love cooking and baking so I thought it would be fun to share some of my recipes.

Ingredients:

Filling:
4 apples
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Crumb topping:
1/2 cup of flour
1/2 cup of sugar
half a stick of non-dairy margarine

Additional:
2 store bought non-dairy pie crust
1 tablespoon agave honey

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Chop, core, and slice apples.
3. Place apples in a bowl and mix in the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and flour.
4. Spread the mixture over the crust.
5. (Optional) Be creative with the crust design! (Here is a great tutorial for the latice top crust)
6. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.
7. Combine the rest of flour, sugar, and margarine (room temperature).
8. Spread the crumb topping on the pie and lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees F.
9. Bake the pie for 30 more minutes or until the crust is golden.
10. Let the pie cool in room temperature for about 15 minutes.
11. Lightly brush agave honey over the crust for the glaze.
