To Not Be Forgotten

Ophelias, 2002

The Necklace, 1999

“I got into photography when I was about nine, after I saw this book ‘Wisconsin Death Trip’ by Michael Lesy. A photograph in it of a dead little girl in a coffin, and of a very wrinkled old lady that looked two hundred years old, made me realize that I was going to die too, and that if it wasn’t for those pictures I would have never known about them. So I asked for a camera and recorded everything I cared about making sure nobody would be forgotten.”
