Here is an overdue recap of my adventures with Zeolite, one of my favorite people in the entire world.
My favorite things about Zeolite’s Shanghai visit: Chatting about wanderlust and sipping away our fears with tiny cups of tea and miniature tea snacks in the Yu Gardens, braving the rain for big bowls of tomato ramen at Nana’s Green Tea, pouring smoke into our molecular gastronomy cocktails at The Alchemist followed by a monstrous burger meal, getting our nails done (a la Katy Perry’s OPI crackle line), roaming around town nibbling on candied fruits comparing Shanghai to Totoro…
The hardest thing about dreamers is that we’re constantly balancing our attention to the present and the future. I am infinitely optimistic about people I love and their journeys. And it’s really the journey that matters, isn’t it?
P.S. What do you want to do this summer?
I want to live somewhere with big windows and a view of my neighborhood, walk everyday, take more film photos, get really good at Mandarin, be near nature/climb some epic mountains, eat lots of spicy food, drink more tea, and write more letters to friends and family.

April 23, 2011 at 4:50 amThis recap made me so, so happy. I had almost forgotten how delish that tomato ramen was. Also, GHOST COCKTAIL. No matter where you end up this summer, you can bet I’ll visit you!

This summer I want to spent time with loved ones, travel and try to see old friends in far places. Oh and definitely the writing more to friends and family too!
