It’s Friday in New York City, and by this hour, I would usually be in Brooklyn or downtown somewhere to meet with friends. Tonight, there are no trains to Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan is still recovering from Sandy. After an emotional week in Virginia, it’s hard for me to take in the full extent of the city’s damages. For now, I am grateful to be safe and back in the city.
As I’m munching on pumpkin scones my lovely roommate left for me, I’m slowly going through not-so-old photos. I’m also working on a blog post about digital photo organization, for others feeling as overwhelmed as me. I’ll post it soon. Until then, here are some sunny pre-Sandy photos mostly taken around Brooklyn on my camera:
Jannese of Craftylove crocheting a little red hat.
Handmade feet cozies from Bosnia.
Delicious Swedish food in West Village with Jannese and Debra.
Halloween evening tarot card reading by Alex, the breakfast bachelor.
For Halloween, I was Yayoi Kusama (here’s a better photo) and Chris was Andy Warhol.
P.S. Thank you for all the California recommendations! My flight to San Francisco has been rescheduled to next weekend, and I think it’ll be an even better weekend to be there.

I’m looking forward to your post on digital photo organization. I haven’t been taking as many photos lately–something that I’m trying to fix–but I usually do have a lot of photos and am usually overwhelmed when it comes to organization.
The last photo that you posted is mesmerizing. I love pictures of rain or snow covered windows.
