Daily Life New York Photos

New hair for the spring season!

One of the highlights of this week has to be my brand new haircut! On Monday, I did hair modeling for Nick Arrojo and Gerardo at the Arrojo Studio. They were phenomenal! It was lovely to meet Nick Arrojo, especially because I was an avid ‘What Not to Wear‘ follower throughout high school.

Before & After

Thanks to the lovely warm weather, I’m starting to go on more walking adventures. Last week, Zeolite and I drank the thickest chipotle hot chocolate at Jacques Torres Chocolate before finishing our video shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge. Best of all, we caught the day’s last ride on Jane’s Carousel, built in 1922 and restored by Jane Walentas.

Artist, Chin Chih Yang at HarvestWorks.

My friend Stephen’s band, Peelers, playing at Greenpoint.

P.S. In case, you’re interested in making Momofuku Milk Bar bagel bombs:

bagel bombs
I repeated my bagel recipe, but pre-stuffed the dough balls with the bacon cream cheese and skipped the boiling part.

Bake them in the oven for 20 minutes and voilà!

Hello Sewon, congrats on your hair modeling, and that’s a really cute hairstyle! I love short haircuts. I’ve had a bob for about 5 years and now I’m trying to have long hair again.

By the way, I received your wonderful photo zine and I’ve written a post about it, here: http://www.shortsmallsweet.net/2012/03/towards-spring-city-photo-zine.html. Thank you for the beautiful zine & little goodies! xx

I meant to grow my bob out, but I gave into getting it trimmed instead! 🙂

Thanks so much for the kind words, Ru. I’m glad you enjoyed my little zine!

Thanks, Winnie! You have no idea how excited I am about your new adventures in HK. I wish I could jump on a tram and eat dimsum all morning long. And grab some milk bubble tea, amongst other things. 🙂

Your hair looks so good! I’m enjoying the beautiful weather lately too. Unfortunately, it’s like we bypassed Spring down here in the South already because we’ve been having some super hot days! Of course, I know this Summer is going to be a lot worse.

I love your new haircut! And congrats on the hair modeling! That’s exciting!

Last Fall, when I got your mini-zine in the mail, I meant to post about it, but when I was going through photos from last year over the weekend, I realized that I never did. So I just posted with a few pictures of your mini-zine. Just thought I’d let you know. 🙂

Lovely new haircut! He did a really great job (shucks that he’s no longer on the show though, admittedly.) It sounds like you’ve been having a wonderful time living in NY and I’ve been enjoying seeing your instagram updates. Hope you had a great weekend! xx

Your hair, your hair, your hair!!!!!!!! Gorgeous, wow!!! I recently wanted to chop mine off but got scared, as usual haha You look terrific!

You have this way with photos that always make me want to eat/do whatever you are doing. I think that is quite the talent! I have never had an urge to go to New York (Strannnnge, I know…) but your photos make me want to rush over ^^

And oh that recipe at the end! Super amazing that you make your own bagels…I must try this recipe some time, looks toooo good! 🙂
