It’s been silently hectic lately around here. But I’m making quick progress on all my projects and taking mini breaks making tiny paper snowflakes for my snail mail friends. Sometimes I imagine my handmade envelops flying across oceans, traveling through new cities, and patiently waiting in a new mail box. How exciting!
I know I’ve been keeping this quiet, but I’ll be on an airplane soon, too. In two weeks, I’ll be back in Shanghai surrounded by bright lights and overpasses hovering over my head. I’m already planning to stop by little vintage shops and eating baskets of soupy xialongbao.
Isn’t this little forest guy amazing? He’s from a stationary store in Seoul. I’m planning a giveaway this upcoming week, which will include other lovely things from Korea. And lots of my own handmade things.
I don’t wear a lot of make-up, but these are my personal essentials: BB Cream by Bobby Brown + eyeliner from Face Shop (a Korean brand) + matte bronze powder by Lancôme
One of the many things I love about living in Yunnan: Panfried homemade goat-cheese topped with salt and pepper
A bookmaker in Shanghai gave me this tiny homemade notebook. What should I do with it?
I’m so excited I found these wonderful vintage sticker labels at a local stationary store!
As you can see, I’m overzealously labeling all sorts of things.
I’ve been collecting paper to make envelopes and tiny snowflakes.

November 30, 2011 at 3:06 pmI’m afraid to actually use that forest guy other than letting him model by the bushes. Ah, Yunnanese goat cheese is soft but firm, similar to fresh mozzarella. I think you’d like it!

November 30, 2011 at 5:22 pmThis is why your blog is one of my favourites, so much so that I’ve added you to my current faves list on my blog haha! I love your pictures and the little hand bound book is adorable. I wouldn’t know what to write in it, it’s so precious! Wow, can’t wait for your posts from Shanghai, I love your jet setting lifestyle. I’m not really one for goats cheese, I can’t stand the taste/smell. I’m such a foodie, I feel like I’m letting myself down by not liking it haha. How is that BB cream by Bobbi Brown? They don’t sell it over here in England yet…I’m intrigued!

December 3, 2011 at 2:45 pmAh, yeah goat cheese does have a distinct taste/smell. You have to try making some fried egg sandwich with some goat cheese + hot sauce. You can’t not love it. 🙂 P.S. The Bobbi Brown BB cream is my favorite! Other BB creams tend to have an odd tone and feel a bit sticky. This one is perfectly light and evens out my skin!

November 30, 2011 at 6:56 pmPaper snowflakes? Cuteeeee! Good luck making them ^^ I haven’t tried the Bobby Brown brand yet, but I tried Skin79 and I quite liked it…I’ve just had a difficult time finding bb cream in stores. Have a really lovely trip to Shanghai and take lots of photographs, eats lots of good food (:

Write down your favourite quotes and have it in your purse/bag at all times? When you’re feeling the blues, waiting for the bus, I don’t know – you read it? Sorry. I am rather dull. xD It’s cute, though. 🙂
Sewon
December 3, 2011 at 3:10 pmAw, that’s a great idea, Eileen! I’m an avid quote collector, actually. I should write them down. 🙂

December 1, 2011 at 7:49 amI’ve seen that little forrest guy before! Korean stationary is the cutest. I ordered some adorable Korean Christmas cards from a store on etsy.
I’m impatient to send them out now!!
The leaves look so delicate and beautiful. I thought it were also stationery. They make cute post it notes that look like leaves, maybe you’ve seen them before.
I could just go on and on about how cute Korean stationery is and how much I love it…
Cute little snowflakes! Maybe Sewon should open her own stationery store. :0

December 3, 2011 at 3:42 pmOhh how fun! 🙂 I’m going to search for those leaf post-it notes. That sounds way adorable!
