My weekend began with three baskets of xialongbao (juicy soup dumplings), each dumpling freshly stuffed full of crab roe and meat. We were walking off our meal around the Xintiandi area when we came across a small entrance to a demolished housing complex. Parts of the divided houses were still intact with families still residing in them. They say some 3,500 Shanghainese families have been displaced as a result of this development.
In my bag: a mustard pantone passport holder, two rolls of film, and a disposable camera started 8+ years ago
Suzuki Takayuki for UNIQLO dress
Bucket bag from Monki
Copper bracelets from D.F.
We eventually met up with some friends at the M50 art district area and ended the night with a hotpot dinner.
P.S. Thank you for your kind words and wonderful suggestions for beating the blues!
