Daily Life Inspiration

Letters in my mail box!

Despite my ever-changing mailing address(es), it’s comforting to still be able to exchange letters. And of course, I am always grateful for my patient and creative friends near and far.

I’ve got my eyes on some vintage Vietnamese postcards and envelopes here in Hanoi, so I’m definitely looking forward to my trip to a Hanoian post office!

Alma‘s package was as poetic as her photographs and writings about little daily discoveries. She sent me some French postage stamps, delicate seeds, soft feathers, postcards, and a handmade necklace.

She handmade this lovely necklace, which has tiny teacup and camera charms and colorful beads!

Marlous sent me lovely little surprises in a kraft paper bag, decorated with washi tape. She keeps a blog of her mail exchanges, and it’s always full of inspirations.

Untitled
Mini polaroid postcards.

A handwritten letter, Dutch tea, colorful party confetti, little envelope, and pin-up girls gift labels.

Miracle fish fortune teller.

P.S. Yes, I’m in Vietnam! I’m finally feeling more settled, so definitely expect more updates about my Hanoian life.

wow Sewon! I´d love to travel as much as you do! I didn´t think you were going to move from the US so fast! But it must be so exciting to have the possibility to live in such different places 🙂

I hope you enjoy Hanoi and can´t wait to hear more of your stories!

oh, I love penpalling too! ^^ those letters and gifts are very creative.

The Fortune Telling fish! Pure nostalgia for me! I bought one had Claire’s Accessories when I was, hmmm, 13? I played with it obsessively and to this day still have it lying around! He passes time nicely 😛

<3 I'm in love with mail. It's so sad that people just don't do it anymore. I really want to send letters to my friends around the world but the Mexican postage system is a joke. :S

ahh all of these packages are so, so lovely! When I mail out my orders for the shop I try to do something similar, I usually include some vintage postcards and other paper ephemera. Seeing this post has inspired me maybe add some other things in the mix 😉
