Daily Life Food Virginia

Hello there, 2012!

How has the first days of 2012 been for you? Here in Virginia, life has been blissfully quiet and comfortable. I’m spending my days writing, working on projects, and crafting in my warm childhood room. But as the holidays are coming to an end, I’m also slowly packing up my belongings. I’ll be moving in just a few weeks! But for now, everything remains up in the air.

I’m very excited to find out what’s to come this upcoming year!

Rhya sent me her adorable bunny zine!

She also sent me these little snow bears, which are perfect teatime companions.

I didn’t wear enough layers for a DC outing, but Ara let me wear her warm hat.

The National Gallery of Art

Eatonville is a Southern restaurant inspired by Zora Neale Hurston.

Drinks served in mason jars

Fried green tomatoes with saffron aioli

Oyster and shrimp po’boy served with bacon potato hash

Toki Underground is a small Taiwanese-style ramen place in DC.

Zeolite‘s pineapple brulee drink with cinnamon cayene syrup + lemon juice + chocolate bitters

My Kimchi hakata ramen with chashu pork loin & soft-boiled egg

Resurrected after a long hiatus, my etsy shop is up and running!

I’m slowly putting up my own handmade creations, as well as hand-picked vintage items.

Are you on etsy, too?

It must be nice to be home. Thanks for all these lovely pictures. I adore that white rustic looking table you’ve got there. And oh, those drinks in mason jars are exactly like what they do in Hong Kong cafes 🙂

Happy 2012! 2011 seemd like a good year for you!
I like the pictures in this post, Asian food always looks so tasty! And I love snail mail pics.
I don’t have an etsy since you need a credit card for it, and I don’t have one (it’s not a common thing to have a credit card in the Netherlands). But I do have a webshop, with homemade stationery.

hello sewon! i got your mail! 😀
it’s so so so lovely! i expect to come up with some photos soon!
there was only one problem, it came a bit wet – a large bit. and even with a note from the mail services apologizing. i was able to recuperate almost everything. there was a a small sheet with blue dots, which i really hope weren’t words, otherwise were completely lost. was something written there? but anyways, there were so many lovely things inside! thank you so so much! and i’ll be using the adorable staples 🙂
    many thanks! <3
