Handmade Black Friday (Thanksgiving Part II)

Today was one of the most productive yet laid back days at home. It was a welcome change, as I have been juggling a hectic work/study schedule followed by some delightfully indulgent holiday festivities. I have lots of (food) photos from my brother’s visit this weekend, as well as some of lovely incoming snail mail inspiration to share with you.

My brother, James, and I enjoyed strolling through the Central Park on a beautiful day. We only ventured out of the park area to eat some French macarons!

Salty caramel macaron from Laduree just might be my favorite. I wanted to eat three more.

Untitled
Black Friday on Fifth Avenue! I’m fairly sure we retreated back towards the park after a block or two of barely moving.

Untitled
I always spot those Nuts 4 Nuts carts, and they always smell like dark caramel!

Eataly! The gelato was a nice afternoon snack.

In support of handmade and vintage things on Black Friday, we stopped by the opening night of the Brooklyn Night Bazaar.

Colorful bags!

I love these tiny terrarium necklaces by With Roots.

Untitled
You know I had my eyes on the handmade yellow vintage fabric bow by Wonder Lee.

Untitled
Vintage book clocks! I want to try building one of these.

Untitled
I purchased these disgruntled cat earrings!

I participated in Kelly Zarb’s Paper Love Swap. I was paired with Kat from The Craft Bureau. Her package arrived in my mail box, full of wonderful paper goodies. It was really fun putting together a package for Kat, and I am excited for her to receive it soon!

Kat sent me some lovely patterned paper, tiny fabric rosette, sparkly ribbons, postcards from London, and so much more.

P.S. Inspired by the paper swap and as a small gesture of thanks to you (yes, you!), I am hosting a giveaway on my blog. The details are here, and the giveaway is open to all readers.
