Thanks to my friend Paulina, Gastronomica San Juan is one of my favorite places to grab sandwiches on weekends. It’s a small deli stall in an indoor market where they sell everything from coyote meat to chunks of bacon. As soon as you order at Gastronomica San Juan, they give you small glasses of complimentary wine and chunks of yummy cheeses. Their specialty is this delicious crusty baguette filled with fresh sliced deli meats and cheeses. I always mean to take some photos but once I take a bite, it’s so hard to stop until I’m done. And last but not least, they give you slices of baguette with a heaping of creamy mascarpone, natural honey, and pecans. Yum!
I love weekend flea markets filled with dedicated collectors of all sorts of goodies. On the way back from walking around the market we passed by Taquitojocoque Taquitojocoque/Roxylove‘s exhibition in Roma Norte.
