I’m writing from a jungle bungalow in a small village in Northern Thailand near the border of Myanmar (Burma). We arrived in Chiangmai a few days ago, and on a whim decided to rent motorcycles for a journey further up north. Austin, Taurin, and I rode for about 135 km (~84 miles) up a mountain and into a majestic valley in the Mae Hong Son Province. Because we spent so much time stopping by remote villages (and also, going on spontaneous hike to see epic waterfalls), we arrived just around sunset with a couple scratches, but safe and well.
I spent today recuperating from the long ride, playing in the river with some elephants, and relaxing at the hot springs. Guess what I’m doing tomorrow!

January 25, 2011 at 5:14 pmHi! Can´t wait to see the rest of your Thailand pictures. The ones you´ve posted so far are gorgeous. Secretly I wish I could leave the city for a couple of days and travel to the mountains or to the sea. Enjoy of your days!
