Maybe it’s my (yet again) failing health, but all I want to do is crawl up in bed until I can wake up with a clear head. Nonetheless, I had an eventful evening. The two photos are from the taxi ride tonight. The video is one of a few recordings that I took trailing behind Taurin in various places around Shanghai.
After I got off work tonight, I went to my Chinese class and then took a taxi to the gym to work out for an hour. Taurin took me out to eat a nice dinner at Xujiahui, and I drank a huge mug of ginger jujube tea. Hopefully I’ll wake up feeling better tomorrow. (Does anybody know any secret immune-boosting tricks?)
Luckily, a three-day weekend is coming up, as well as the first days of 2011. I wonder where this year will take me.
I don’t have too many answers yet, but that’s okay. Questions are what takes you places.
P.S. I’ve been eyeing this website where you can send an e-mail to your future self.
“Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.” – Letter Four (16 July 1903) by Rainer Maria Rilke
