New York

Belated April memories!

Untitled

A few weeks ago, Jannese and I had a little picnic at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for the Sakura Matsuri. We ate some homemade onigiri and cucumber salad. Jannese even packed ice cold matcha and dessert.

I can hardly believe it’s already May. My goal for this month is to make each day count and live in the present. And also, have more picnics with friends!

It’s hard for me to strive for, because I’m constantly dreaming of the future/new adventures to come. But I’m going to make an conscious effort this month. πŸ™‚

so lovely seeing my mail on your blog πŸ™‚ it always stays a bit surreal for me that something like that can reach a whole other part of the world, and it gets so much more real by just some pictures.
i hope the flowers grow well!

your little garden looks great! and so does the rest of your month.
hopefully may will just be as lovely πŸ™‚

I think that’s one of my favorite things about snail mail exchanges. Your flower sprouted today! I’ll wait for it to grow a bit more, and show you a photo. πŸ™‚

Yes, of course! I just eyeball all the measurements to taste, but let me know if you need more details. But basically, mix finely chopped onions, minced garlic, gochujang, gochukaru (just a sprinkle), ketchup, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, ground pepper, and toasted sesame seeds. Heat up the mix in a sauce pan until the onions get a bit soft. Pour it over crispy double-fried chicken before serving!

That’s a wonderful goal to live up! Two more weeks and I’m done with school, then I’ll try to live up that goal too. I love the card Marlou sent you! And I’m happy to hear that my mail arrived safe and sound!

That day in the park looks like it was so beautiful, I wish there events like that where I live! It seems like April is a beautiful month no matter where you live though.
