Beijing is my home for the summer, and I already feel rooted here. I live a bit farther away from everything, but in a beautiful garden house. In the heart of the city are old neighborhoods connected by narrow winding alleyways called the hutong. These are photos from my walks through alleys searching for vintage dresses with Re and watching sleepy cats napping by windows.

I really like infinity mirrors
We had the best intentions to see Birdstriking play a live show, but it started pouring rain while we stopped by a dumpling shop. We ended up at a quiet venue farther down the road, where we were the only ones dancing to minimalist techno.
P.S. My mini photo zine is ready to be shipped out! Here, it’s yours.

July 19, 2011 at 10:44 pmYeah! Aw, I tried to do a zine exchange but I don’t have a very permanent home for the next month so everything is on hold for me, as well. Where are you moving to?

July 19, 2011 at 10:50 pmYeah! I feel like I spend most of my time wandering around those neighborhoods in Beijing when I have free time. I think some of my favorite cities/towns have these old narrow streets. :]
