Au marché Jean-Talon!

On my last full-day in Montréal, the rain didn’t keep us indoors. With one slightly broken umbrella in hand, we roamed the city. It also helped that the Montréal subways are heated and extra cozy. First stop: Marché Jean-Talon, a large indoor fresh market with beautiful local produce and maple syrup snacks!

A little snack: strawberries covered in maple syrup.

Here’s our “humble” brunch spread! My Hoegaarden mug was more like a huge vase.

Eggs benedict with spinach and brie cheese.

Smooth-crémeux peanut butter with two teddy bears.

We had strawberry shortcake!

And of course, we couldn’t miss getting poutine at La Banquise (and a corn dog!).

Yet another train ride back to New York.

This time, I packed some healthy snacks for the ride.

P.S. I’ll post a detailed Montréal city guide here soon!

gah that Liberte brand of yogurt is my absolute favorite! Whenever I go to Whole Foods (which is pretty much never because its so expensive :*() I always have to stock up. Also, I need to try poutine one day! It looks so good but alas, I’ve never seen a place in California sell it.

Reading your blog always makes me hungry! The tomatoes are gorgeous and the subway sure does look cozy. I love the shot of the girl in the front row of the subway. You are able to get some great candids of people!
