Apocalyptic illness

I can hardly believe it’s the end of November. It stills feels like a nice fall day when I step outside. But when I look up at the sun hidden beyond the thick gray sky, I can almost picture the apocalypse. When the expo left town, it took away clean air and blue skies. Sometimes Taurin takes me on bike adventures, but I usually come back feeling like there is a layer of dust in my lungs. So this morning I stayed wrapped up in a blanket with a bad case of the whooping cough, taking spoonfuls of bitter Chinese medicine, and planned my next mini-escape–Christmas in Tokyo (?!).

Despite my complaints about the smog, it’s been an eventful month. My dad came into town, and we got to spend some quality time together. Last weekend, Taurin and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary walking around the Century Park in Pudong and eating Kumamoto oysters at a cozy little restaurant. Otherwise, I’ve been keeping busy writing art reviews and taking photos of my evening adventures.

Christmas in Tokyo would be sweeeet. You should invest in a face mask like everybody wears on the Tokyo subway. The apocalypse is sweet as a concept/aesthetic but not as a place to live!

oops i posted that last comment without really reading what your wrote. lol

i'm really sorry that it is making you ill. but despite how terrible the atmosphere is there you still manage to make it look beautiful, like its a breath of fresh air. which is insane since it is clearly the opposite.. anyhow the photographs are stunning.
