China Daily Life Trips & Travels Yunnan

And so it begins!

Thank you for all your warm birthday wishes, it was especially nice since it was my second birthday celebrated far away from my friends and family. Taurin made it very special, and prepared a perfect little breakfast before I even woke up–a plate of tropical fruits and a cup of coconut iced coffee. And best of all, he hid a box of camera goodies in the studio, including a tiny little LC-A+. I loaded up my new camera, and we took off on a long walk around town!

P.S. Johanna’s package just arrived in my little corner of China all the way from Berlin! We did a little art exchange via slow mail, and it was so nice to see her work in person. And of course, I couldn’t wait to share her lovely postcards with you, so here they are!

These are from Johanna’s pink dot poetry series.

Isn’t my window seat just perfect for reading and writing letters?

What a great way to spend your birthday! Coconut iced coffee sounds amazing! The postcards from the art exchange are so cute! I absolutely love your window seat! I’ve always wanted one. They seem like a good place to write and read and draw.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I’m finishing up one novel that I’ll be sending out to agents soon and once I finish that one I have a novel that I wrote a few years ago that needs some massive work (I had a different skill level back then) and then I’d like to send it out. πŸ™‚

I’m really lucky to live in the one part of China where they enjoy coffee.

Wow, you sound like a prolific writer! Good luck on getting published and everything. πŸ™‚
