Mossy terrariums, mini parcels, and holiday festivities

Can you believe it’s already December? It’s beginning to look and feel like the holidays here in New York, though I have been swamped with work. I took mini breaks this weekend for some time with friends and city explorations. I made a terrarium at the Etsy Holiday Shop, attended an early holiday party in Williamsburg, ventured out to Koreatown with Emily for some hand-cut noodles, finally got out early enough for a brunch date downtown, and began working on a small creative project with Jannese. And a letter arrived from Malaysia!

I made this terrarium! Etsy’s been hosting a series of workshops at their Soho Holiday Shop, and the terrarium workshop was taught by Michelle Inciarrano and Katy Maslow, the two lovely ladies behind Twig. I’m so proud of my little business man trekking through the mossy forest with a tiny map in his hand.

Brunch at Fatta Cuckoo: tender short ribs and fried egg on English muffins, fluffy ricotta donuts, and coffee!

Kaljaebi (kalguksu + sujaebi mix): hand-cut noodles and hand-pulled dough in Kimchi broth.

And an ice cream taiyaki for the road!

An adorable mail arrived from Malaysia from Fiona, decorated with colorful washi tape and line drawings! I was so excited, I took her letter with me to read on the subway.
