On my last full-day in Montréal, the rain didn’t keep us indoors. With one slightly broken umbrella in hand, we roamed the city. It also helped that the Montréal subways are heated and extra cozy. First stop: Marché Jean-Talon, a large indoor fresh market with beautiful local produce and maple syrup snacks!

A little snack: strawberries covered in maple syrup.

Here’s our “humble” brunch spread! My Hoegaarden mug was more like a huge vase.

Eggs benedict with spinach and brie cheese.

Smooth-crémeux peanut butter with two teddy bears.

360 projection mapping “immersion” at La Société des arts technologiques (SAT).

And of course, we couldn’t miss getting poutine at La Banquise (and a corn dog!).

Yet another train ride back to New York.

This time, I packed some healthy snacks for the ride.
P.S. I’ll post a detailed Montréal city guide here soon!

lovely pictures, as always! that market looks like an extremely fun place to walk around (and try all different kinds of things).
oh nostalgia, nostalgia. i used to live in montreal (for 4 years) before moving to nyc (has been 3 years). this post makes me miss it so much!
Ooh Sewon, I am so hungry now! That brunch! Woahhhh. Inspired to take a train ride somewhere now^^ xx
gah that Liberte brand of yogurt is my absolute favorite! Whenever I go to Whole Foods (which is pretty much never because its so expensive :*() I always have to stock up. Also, I need to try poutine one day! It looks so good but alas, I’ve never seen a place in California sell it.
I admire your talent for capturing atmospheres…
I’ve heard of poutine, and it sounds absolutely decadent… !
Your photos are amazing. the food looks divine!
Those oysters, that lavender, that ‘humble’ brunch spread…
Thanks for sharing Sewon, your photos are truly always a delight to the senses.
