Wednesday left me nearly in tears. I was battling allergies and cold symptoms all day at work when I came home to find my apartment completely flooded. Water was gushing out of an old broken pipe in my toilet all the way from my 4th floor apartment to the entrance of the building. I would have taken some photos if I hadn’t been in shock.
Once all the workers finished fixing the pipe and cleaning up the mess, I left my place in a daze with my backpack in hand. I didn’t know what else to do, so I went to Chinese class (did I tell you I take university classes in the evenings?) and took a 1.5 hour midterm exam. I even managed to write a 120 character essay comparing my hometown to Shanghai.
At the end of the day, my week wasn’t so bad. My apartment is safe and dry and I’m sure I passed my Chinese midterm. And I’ve been going on quite a few walking adventures, thanks to the beautiful weather.

I know! I can’t wait to see how the photos turn out. Also, I wish I we could have explored the camera market together (= SEVEN stories of camera goodies!).

man, that is crazy to come home to that! glad it is fixed, but i hope none of your precious things got damaged.
nevertheless, your pictures of china are becoming more and more familiar. if that makes any sense. i guess what i mean is, it looks like you are settling in nicely in your surroundings, and i am glad to be able to experience this other world through your eyes.

Wahou! I just discover those pictures! Visiting a flower & bird market in China is something I want to do one day. I hope such things will never disappear, it always makes me sad when things disappear and every things gets the same every where.

My boy friend has one which looks like your (an Olympus) I always look if he didnt took it with him the morning so I could try it out! But he always takes it lol.
